BOHEMIAN PROJECT
In a private house of a well-established San Diegan family Yakov was asked to apply an ornamented mural in the living room. So that an entire classic environment could be brightened with the new look.
The main attention of the guest room layout was concentrated on the dome area, where a ceiling with a descending ball-room style lamp was a focal point.
Yakov has developed a Renaissance based round ceiling, with an application of gold plated molding around the outer circle. Additionally there were mirror and golden rose moldings ornaments used, thus to create a Barocco schique in the mural's surrounds.

Altogether this design suggest itself as complimentary to the existing architecture and has created a wonderful addition to the style of the lamp.

The major part of this project was given to the living room, where Yakov has created an illusion (trompe l'oeil) of a country wheat field in its full beauty.
Painting a trompe l'oeil country view is duping the viewer so much into believing that there is space beyond the wall surface.
The completed mural achieves what is set out to do. It forms a vibrant focus to the room, yet its informal manner of execution ensures a cozy atmosphere. The eye does not take anything for granted, but every detail is assessed and appreciated individually.
Upon completion, house owners were speechlessly impressed. Not only by the implementation of their children into the mural, or by creating a multi-dimensional impression. Most important they felt as it belonged to this house from the very start.
