BACHI RESTAURANT PROJECT
This was one of the brief but very bright projects for Yakov Kandinov where he used trompe l'oeil (paint effects) approach, so that a very European style oriented and always popular Restaurant could carry even more life on its walls.
There adventurous and imaginative ways in which such interior decorative effects with mural can be created so that the impression could be especially exotic.
Here, the stonework effect was successfully represented by building up layers of paint, using different techniques to produce the "texture" of aged stone, complete with pits and cracks. To avoid producing too cold an effect the wall is softened with leaves and flowers.
The fountain, constructed of "stone" seems so real and dimensional, as it would indeed arranged water into the basin.
Inspired with a Greek architecture, Yakov also has created a harmonic vision of reality of ancient columns and time movement.
